Rated 1 out of 5 by BrianH from Do not use in the wind? Bought this umbrella two weeks ago used it for the first time installed it properly. A gust of wind wind came ripped it right out of the sand broke and hit my wife. The screw anchor at the bottom needs to go deeper but the anchor X won't allow it to. It's not worth $100 buy a real umbrella!

The glue on the plastic lock-down handle that clips the umbrella to the base failed, and the umbrella canopy went flying directly towards my face. My daughter's quick reaction kept it from slamming into my face and causing serious injury. It could have caused the loss of an eye or a broken nose. The wind was blowing, but not excessively.
