As we accelerate our sustainability journey, we want to learn from the best. We are partners and members of sustainability initiatives that move our industries forward. 

 

 

The Forest Stewardship Council

We have partnered with FSC-certified suppliers to rethink where we share information about our products, both on our hangtags and our store signage.  The FSC is an international non-profit that promotes the sustainable management of the world’s forests by setting standards, certifying, and labelling sustainable forest products.

 

The Sustainable Apparel Coalition

The Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC) is collaboratively transforming the apparel, footwear, and textile industries through standardized measurement. The SAC has developed the Higg Index, a suite of tools that leading brands, retailers, and manufacturers use to assess social and environmental performance, identify potential challenges, and drive enduring change. We are currently using the Higg Facility Environmental Module (Higg FEM) at the majority of our Tier 1 facilities.

 

Monterey Bay Aquarium

The Monterey Bay Aquarium mission is to inspire conservation of the ocean. A leader in ocean conservation and education, the Monterey Bay Aquarium is considered by many to be the best in the world. The Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch Program has set trusted standards for environmentally responsible fishing and aquaculture. Through recommendations that help seafood buyers make better choices and expertise that helps suppliers make real improvements, they’ve driven positive change throughout the supply chain.
