More relaxation, smaller footprint
From beach to backyard and everywhere beyond, Tommy Bahama inspires the world to relax in style. For over 25 years we’ve stood for a laid-back, worry-free pace; exceptional quality; simple pleasures; and a spirit of warmth, generosity, and giving.
We call this Living the Island Life, and our mission is to ensure it flourishes, now and for generations to come. This is why we’re committed to bringing you more relaxation with a smaller footprint.
We strive to offer you and future generations more of what you love: more relaxing in style, more feeling your best, more making memories to last a lifetime. Our initiatives will accomplish this while continuously reducing our impact on the environment and enhancing our communities.
So savor more of the Island Life, knowing that Tommy Bahama is caring for the people and places that make it all possible. This is a journey, and we've already taken some important steps.

Advancing products
The Island Life is all about feeling and looking your best—whoever, and wherever, you are. Whether you’re prepping for the perfect vacation or just relaxing at home, we’re committed to creating apparel, accessories, food, cocktails, and experiences that work better—for you and for our environment.

Enhancing experiences
Tommy Bahama is where you can breathe freely, live spontaneously, and relax in style—all with the peace of mind you deserve. It’s why we’re bringing sustainability into the experiences we create in our stores, restaurants, and Marlin Bars.

Strengthening operations
The only footprints we want to leave are in the sand. We’re working every day to reduce our environmental impact, bringing you the best of the Island Life while caring for the world that sustains it.

Supporting people and communities
Our Island values go beyond the products we create and the food we serve. They extend to the people who make it all possible and to the communities of which we are a part. We’re finding new ways to enrich the lives of our employees and to invest in our surroundings.

OUR PARTNERSHIPS
To deliver more relaxation with a smaller footprint, we work with organizations that are making the worlds of apparel and hospitality better than they are today. As we accelerate our corporate responsibility journey, we want to learn from the best. We are members of and partner with strategic initiatives that move our industries forward.
American Apparel & Footwear Association
We are a proud member of the American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA), a leader for positive change in the apparel and footwear industry. The AAFA enables a collaborative forum to promote best practices and innovation and provides members with critical information and expertise.
Sustainable Apparel Coalition
The Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC) is a global multi-stakeholder non-profit alliance that seeks to transform business for exponential impact through groundbreaking tools, collaborative partnerships, and trusted leadership for industry sustainability. The SAC has developed the Higg Index, a suite of tools that leading brands, retailers, and manufacturers use to assess social and environmental performance, identify potential challenges, and drive enduring change.
Better Cotton
Better Cotton is the world’s leading sustainability initiative for cotton. Their mission is to help cotton communities survive and thrive, while protecting and restoring the environment.
Textile Exchange
Textile Exchange is a global non-profit driving positive impact on climate change across the fashion and textile industry– to speed up the adoption of preferred fibers. Membership gives us the tools we need to set preferred fiber goals and holistically reduce our impact, right from the start of our supply chain.
Forest Stewardship Council
We have partnered with FSC-certified suppliers to ensure wood-derived packaging materials like hangtags, collar bands, and store signage are sourced from responsibly managed forests. The FSC is an international non-profit that promotes the sustainable management of the world’s forests by setting standards and certifying and labelling sustainable forest products.
