Destined to be a Tommy Bahama Classic
I purchased the Baja hoodie as a Christmas gift for my grandson. He loves the Baja look, but most hoodies available are made from a thin canvas type fabric. When I saw that this hoodie was 100% cotton and in such an appealing pattern I decided to order it. It really is a beautiful shirt, both soft and substantial. I expect a very happy response from him on Christmas Day.

I wanted to like it, but it will be going back
I wanted to like this, but it didn't feel worth the price at the end of the day. There were several missed expectations: 1) Maybe this was just poor original expectations for this kind of garment, but it was thinner than I was expecting. I was expecting a heavier and more substantial feel, especially at this price point, but it was pretty thin, and so it didn’t give me the sense it would hold up well. 2) It was also more oversized than I was hoping. I'm 5'10 around 150+lb with maybe a 40" chest and narrow waist. I'm normally between small and medium, and pick size small for shirts like this. The small was more oversized than I was hoping, probably by at least one size. 3) The blue is lighter than in the pictures. I was expecting it to be a little darker, but it has a paler blue tint to it. 4) I didn't check any of the care instructions ahead of time, but it's listed as dry clean only on the tag.
If it had been only one or two missed expectations I might have kept it since I used gift cards, but since there were several, I think I'd rather put them toward something else.
