Terrible
Wish we had believed the other bad reviews!! We bought two chairs at the beginning of the summer, replacing chairs that we had for years. Firstly, they are very uncomfortable and low to the ground. Secondly, they feel very flimsy for the price. Like the other reviewers, the chairs broke after just a few uses!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THESE CHAIRS!!! We expected more from the brand.

Broke first time, extending into the open position
Honestly, the worst job I've ever bought from Tommy Bahama. Product broke immediately after trying it for the first time. The adjustment completely stopped and could not be fully opened. This product should be canceled or no longer sold as I see someone else had the same experience after buying two chairs. I tried to call them on the phone, but since the order was placed Over 45 days ago, I have to do a warranty claim when I would rather just have another blue Marlin deluxe chair, my warranty was accepted and now I will most likely get another defective chair.

Disappointed
We ordered 2 of these chairs. We used them both and after using it 1 time one of them broke. It won’t open all the way anymore. You cant lay it flat.

Nice chair flimsy arms
This is a nice chair. The colors are vibrant as pictured, it’s very light weight and portable and great for tanning on your belly. (Keeps the sand off of your legs). The downside is the metal arms are very flimsy. The chair is quite low to the ground which isn’t a problem until you try to get up out of it. There is nothing to push up from. I made the mistake of using the “arms” to support my self to stand and they easily bent. I was able to bend them back but they are basically useless. This is the reason for minus one star. For $100 this chair should have better/sturdier arms.

Expected Better from Tommy Bahama
If I could give this chair 0 stars, I would. Multiple members of my family have had the same issue with this beach lounger—it won't recline past a 90° angle. It seems like a clip broke or something inside the chair.
Don't waste your money on this chair because it will just end up breaking. I'm so disappointed because I've heard such great things about Tommy Bahama, but this chair did not meet my expectations. It ended up ruining my vacation.
Edit: The problem isn't that I don't know how to open it. The chair is jammed... Have had this problem with 3 out the 5 chairs my family bought.
