It didn’t just fail—it completely gave out beneath me without warning, sending me crashing to the ground and leaving me with a broken tailbone. What should have been a harmless, relaxing moment turned into a painful, humiliating, and entirely preventable injury. For context, I weigh around 150 pounds, so this wasn’t a case of exceeding any reasonable weight limit. I expected basic safety and durability from Tommy Bahama, but instead I got a product that feels like it was built to fail. This wasn’t wear and tear—this was a catastrophic collapse under normal use. If it happened to me, it can absolutely happen to someone else, and next time the outcome could be even more serious. Buyer beware. This chair is not just disappointing—it’s dangerous. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone under any circumstances. I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone.
