The blanket is quilted for comfortable sitting on hard surfaces. This blanket/tote is a must have item in an urban setting. It has room to pack your essentials -- book, sunscreen, water bottle. It is great gift idea!!

The zipper is a well constructed coarse design that does not jam no matter how much sand gets in it. The compact design makes this an easy stow&go item. Definitely a must for any regular beachgoer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by 2fast4u from Great Blanket - Needs stronger zipper We love the blanket and concept - awesome idea. My zipper broke second time we used it. Please continue with the product, but put a more durable zipper on it and we all will be good to go :). This is a simple fix. As far as the tote goes, I store my Frisbee and a magazine or two in that section - never considered it a real beach tote, but serves the purpose of bringing smaller items to the beach.
