Rated 4 out of 5 by MikeG from Excellent Optics and Glass Lenses, but the Lens Logo Is Distracting I bought these Maui Jim sunglasses primarily because of the glass lenses. I’ve owned many pairs with polycarbonate lenses over the years, and despite taking reasonable care of them, they always seem to accumulate scratches. The glass lenses were a major selling point for me, and so far I’m very pleased with the optical clarity. The sunglasses also look great, feel well made, and are comfortable to wear. My one significant complaint is the Maui Jim logo screen-printed in the upper corner of one of the lenses. I understand the desire for branding, but putting a visible logo directly on the lens seems unnecessary on a premium pair of sunglasses. At certain angles it enters my field of view and can be surprisingly distracting. I would much prefer the branding to remain on the frame, where it doesn’t interfere at all with the visual experience. Overall, I’m very happy with the quality, optics, and feel of the sunglasses, and I especially appreciate having glass lenses. I just wish Maui Ji
