I don't consider my head to be particularly large, but I initially ordered the M/L and ended up exchanging it for the L/XL, which fits much better. If you're between sizes, you may want to consider sizing up. Tommy Bahama's customer service is excellent. Every time I've needed help, they've been friendly and easy to work with. Hold times can be long, but if you call and select the callback option (press 1), they'll call you back so you don't have to sit on hold. It made the exchange process very convenient. The hat looks fantastic. It's not as cool or breathable as a performance hat you'd wear at the pool or one designed to get wet, but it provides excellent sun protection while looking much more stylish. I'm in my 40s and pay attention to how I dress, and I think this hat strikes a great balance between refined and rugged. I wear it confidently with casual summer outfits. The seagrass material is also part of its appeal for the classic rugged look, although it's recommended that you avoid getting it wet, so I try to keep it dry. Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase and would definitely recommend it.
