Rated 1 out of 5 by anonymuse from Proportions have changed since previous years I'm of average height, but I'm a bigger guy and like my shorts on the long side, and in previous years the size XLT has fit me perfectly. These shorts however are not cut the same as previous versions. The total length is roughly the same, but actual inseam is a bit shorter, annoying, since I like my shorts long, but the worst part is the crotch length - it's significantly longer than before (I measured a little over 1.5" compared to a 2 year old size XLT pair that I had), either leaving the crotch much too low like clown pants, or requiring that the shorts be pulled up to my armpits old man style. I'm not sure if quality control broken down after TB changed suppliers (tariff related disruption?), or if someone decided that this is the new style, but I was highly disappointed. And sadly this seems not just be a one off error, or even a big and tall sizes problem, as I had ordered multiple pairs in XLT with the same problem, and when I let myself be convinced to exchange them for a regular XXL the new shorts were way too baggy, while the crotch and inseam proportions were still just as off as compared to my original XLT shorts. If Tommy Bahama pajama shorts did not fit you well before you might want to try again, however if you love how your old pairs fit you're likely in for disappointment.

The material doesn't cling, stretch, hangs well, comes down to his knees and he's 6'4". He wears the XLT size and right now, they only come in 2 patterns; he has 4 of them - we need more patterns. So many are just too wide and not sufficiently long, these shorts are perfect, material and all. I only wish there were more patterns!
