Rated 2 out of 5 by Mary J P from Beautiful Style, but Lacks Comfort (Rough Strap The Good Out of the box, the André Assous Max Cognac Leather Sandals look great. The cognac leather is rich in color, and the overall design is classic, versatile, and stylish enough to pair easily with summer outfits. The Bad (Why We Returned) Unfortunately, the style didn’t translate to comfort. We had to return them due to two major flaws: * Rigid Footbed: The footbed lacked the necessary cushioning and flexibility. My husband found it very uncomfortable and stiff to walk on, offering little to no support. * Rough Leather Straps: The leather straps were surprisingly rough and rigid on the inside. Instead of flexing naturally with the foot, they rubbed uncomfortably against the skin, which felt like a guaranteed recipe for blisters. Final Verdict While André Assous is known for quality, the "Max" sandal missed the mark on wearability. If you are looking for a sandal you can actually walk around in comfortably, you might want to skip this pair. The leather and footbed require far too much break-in time—if they break in at all.
