GLASSWARE: Doube Rocks

GARNISH: Salt Rim, Blood Orange

 

INGREDIENTS

 

1.5 oz. Sauza® Gold
1 oz. Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur
1 oz. Scratch Sour Mix – See Recipe Below*
0.25 oz. Blood Orange Puree
0.25 oz. Orange Juice, Fresh
0.25 oz. Lime Juice, Fresh

 

SOUR MIX

 

1 ½ cups Egg Whites, Pasteurized
1 cup Sugar
2 cups Water
1 ¾ cups Lemon Juice, Fresh
1 oz. Lime Juice, Fresh
1 oz. Orange Juice, Fresh

STEP 1:

Sour Mix: In a large bowl, whisk the egg whites until frothy. Stir in the sugar and mix until incorporated. Add the water, lemon juice, lime juice, and orange juice. Mix well. Store in the refrigerator until needed.

 

STEP 2:

In a mixing glass, add ice and all ingredients. Shake to mix. Use blood orange to salt the rim of your double rocks glass and pour in the mix. Add blood orange for garnish.
