Great Readers and Sunglasses
It sure is annoying to have to change glass just to read a few words on a menu or dashboard. Or attach the funny looking clip-one to your readers for shade.
All that is solved in Style.
These Ho'okipa look good and are great sunglasses. The incredible added feature of a 1.5 or 2x reader lens in the lower frame is very handy. From reading a book outside to look up in the sun seamlessly.

Best of both worlds
A stylist and protective pair of sunglasses with a small built-in “reader” magnification strip across the bottom of the lense (like a bifocal).
Bronze tint works perfectly in various light conditions and curvature of frames helps keep wind and stray light from hitting my eyes.
Light weight too so I can wear them for hours.
I found because the lenses are polarized that some device screens can darken when viewed through the glasses.

Maui Jim quality
Although it takes some "training", these have the same quality as my other Maui Jim sunglasses. Once you get used to having built-in readers, they are great! Perfect for reading the newspaper/book by the pool on a sunny day.

Great to get readers on my Maui Jims
I have two of the three Ho’okipa’s offered...they are good enough that I wanted to have both a light and darker lens.
Expensive, but good...not quite the quality of their top lens, though, but lightweight.

Nice but need to come in other strengths as readers. 1.5 wasn't working not avail in 1.75. Frame too flimsy & nose guard not actually adjustable if have keen nose bridge. Had to return Thank you

Do not recommend, too dark, hard to read
I buy a lot of Tommy Bahama merchandise. The readers lenses were too dark to be effective while driving, at least for me. I purchased another pair of sunglasses that are absolutely great; Maui Jim. The service is always excellent in the Minnetonka MN store as well as on line. Great product, great service.

We were on vacation in Playa Del Carman at a Sun Glass Hut and my wife found them. They were a men's style but she loved the magnifier at the bottom of the lenses, she showed them to me and I bought the last pair on the spot. If they had them in a woman's style she would have bought a pair for herself.

Great glasses
These are great glasses, this makes second pair and planning to purchase third pair. Have over 1 hour drive home from work, ride home is facing the sun. Both pair of glasses I have now real help with eye strain!!

Can't live without them.
A good friend recommended these glasses while playing golf a year ago. After this purchase I'm not sure why it took me a year to pull the trigger. I now can't live without out them wether I'm golfing or reading at the pool or beach can't leave the house without them.

Ho'okipa sunglasses
I have been buying and wearing the Maui Jim Bronze and Grey Ho'okipa for over twenty years for tennis, boating, and days at the beach. The sunglasses are wrap arounds that keep sun, wind, and sand out of my eyes and have been worth purchasing. I'm giving 4 stars because the last pair I bought had issues with lens clarity. Fortunately, Tommy Bahama has great customer service and the exchange for a different pair was seamless.

Great Sunglasses
I have been buying these sunglasses from my eye doctor. I was very happy when I found them at Tommy Bahamas for much less. They are readers so you can keep them on when you are trying to read small print outdoors.
I have bought Maui Jim sunglasses since a trip to Hawaii when a golf partner let me use a pair. No better glasses and they repair them for free in most cases.

Great sunglasses with reader panes make them extremely convenient
I love these sunglasses. These are my third pair. Unfortunately my first pair are at the bottom of a lake as a result of a minor mishap on a jetski. They are well made, stylish and the polarized lenses are terrific. I wear them for driving, golf at the beach and general wear. The thin i love the most is the reader panel. It is totally unobtrusive until you want to use it. Now I can read my phone without having to switch to my reading glasses and many other times this comes in super handy.

I purchased these Maui Jim Ho'okipa sunglasses several months ago and used them at the beach/pool where I like to read. I also use them while driving. In the past I had to remove my shades at times to read some gauges - no longer.

These Maui Jim sunglasses are the best readers I've ever seen. You can hardly tell that they are readers from the front, and when you're looking through the lenses the reading lens is so low that it does not block any of your field of vision. They are also quite sexy :-)

I can't believe the reaction I got from the recipient when he opened this gift. You would have thought I gave him the entire gift of sight. These sunglasses are functional, stylish, and a savior. If you are at all skeptical about spending the money, it's worth it. You can't put a price on sight, esp when it comes to seeing the dashboard of the car, OR the golf scorecard! Well worth the money...

I have loved these sunglasses year round. They are great at the beach or pool for reading in the sun. I'm on my second pair as the first ones got scratched after several years of use. They are light weight and the style would probably look good on anyone. Great for reducing glare.
