Unique in Material &. Fit
These are really nice high-spec, high-function pants, and the name “Chip & Run” may intend to suggest that they’re active wear, substantively different from other types of TB pants in material and fit. The material is a unique blend that seems lightly water-repellant and stretches (quite similar to a pair of Columbia hiking pants that I own) with rubber lining in the back left pocket and around the waist to keep your wallet from slipping out and your shirt tucked in. The fit is undoubtedly snug, unlike other TB pants, which may very well be part of the appeal to some. Finally, the black is not black at all, buy grey. While these characteristics are all fairly obvious when buying in person, they are not at all clear to those shopping online, so I hope this helps.

bought these pants and will say , stay away, the worst pant I have pruchased from TB. I am disappionted in TB for selling such a terrible pair of pants. AGAIN< STAY AWAY. the fit and size are good, its the material thats is bad, I had them cleaned and cant return. Now they are laying on the floor of my closet. will never wear

An acquired taste?
Did not like the fit and feel of these pants, so have returned them. Too much elasticity. Odd gel substance around the waistband and along the pockets. Waist and length fit was good, but pants were too clingy and showed pockets even when they were empty. Will watch for "performance" in product descriptions in the future and will likely avoid.

I purchased the Chip & Run pants in the same size as my Chip & Run shorts, but they were too tight. Unfortunately, they do not have any in my size. Tommy Bahama need to produce more.

Great fit order a size larger than you normally do
These are close to the body pants, but quite comfortable. These pants run a bit smaller than other T-B pants. I had to reorder a size up 35->36. Also, the color is not traditional black. The pants are somewhat of a charcoal/heathered look. Mine seem to have a little dark taupe to them.

The jury is still out!
I just received my backup order on these.
The first one I ordered were too big so I ordered a smaller size and those were much better.
Quite honestly I didn’t like the khaki color......too much of a yellow tint. But the black seem like they will work.
I’m always afraid that TB fabric stretches and they might be a bit too big.
Weather in Michigan has been too cold to wear outdoors yet.
So the jury is still out!

I love the material and the fit is perfect.
I believe these are the best golf gear I own. The material is comfortable and gives when’s it needs to. The detail is great. I liked the pants so much I purchased a second pair. Your golf wear is living up to the Tommy Bahama standards.

Little too snug in seat area.
Big fan of TB most of the time, but I initially became a fan of the TB pants when they were known for the “relax” fit with a higher rise and full seat. These pants are too low rise for me and too tight in the seat area. Can’t imagine it would be comfortable for golf.

These pants work well on the golf course and double well for a casual dress pant. I intend to use it for both. They fit and feel great with quite a bit of stretch. The legs are narrow, which is great for golfing and a more modern look. The black is not quite a true black, but with a look of texture.

Khaki Pant for Marshallling at US OPEN
First try of TB's golf pant. Since it is not available in 31 inseam had to have then shortened one hem but they fit great, are light and should be good for warm weather and Mrs. says they look great.
ps: unfortunately (for me) the little stretch is great too.

style and fit
Firstly, I'm a Tommy Bahama fan as quality and fit is second to none, normally. I purchased these slacks on line, which I rarely do and because of the high expectations of a Tommy Bahama product, I had no qualms in doing so. In this instance however, the fit is not in sync with all their other products and the style of lowering the waistline is not in keeping with classic golf wear. My usual Tommy Bahama waist size on slacks are absolutely perfect but this particular model is approx. an 1/2" to 1" less.
Plus I would say at least an 1" down from the normal waist line.

Totally bummed that these fit fantastic except the only lenght available is wrong for me. Would but these in every color if they came in 34" lenght. This must be a test as all their other clothing comes in so many sizes. I hope this one makes the cut as they are terriffic. I also hope to see more golf related clothing.
