Also I'm not sure if my chair is defective but there's no way to lock the chair from opening when you're carrying it on your back.

This one is perfect, no bar. The height is perfect as he is 6’2. Shade on top and backpack is easy carry , the best! Has mesh back so not hot . Overall best we have found and we have looked all. Highly recommend. Need to buy another for daughter now . Good job Tommy Bahama!

The aluminum tube construct is very small in diameter. Not sure where the weight comes from, but this chair is very heavy. The straps to carry it are flimsy. But is was just not comfortable. And when you try to get rid of the shade roof, there is no place to put it except behind your back which made it even less comfortable.

One of the chairs sewed pairs came undone alone the back and bottom. the second plastic parts broke. But we really do like how the shade top keeps the hot Sun off us. We like the High back of these chairs. The other TB chairs we have do not have tops and are low back. These we also really like.
