Pricey, but worth it
I was looking for a chair with an awning to provide shade. The awning is easy to operate, although a little stiff in the beginning.The chair seems well-made. It’s not too heavy. I also like the height of the chair, which makes it easier for me to get in and out of. I do wish that the depth of the seat was a little bit longer, but other than that, I am pleased with the chair.

Love My New Beach Chair
I absolutely love my new highboy canopy beach chair. That is when I can get it away from my husband. It's very easy to get out of and I love the canopy as it shades me from the sun while I'm reading my book. I also love all of the storage. It's great to have my drink, book, keys, lotion and lots of other belongings right with me. The quality is great. I know I will get many years of use from my new chair.

Worst chair ever!
Worst chair I ever had! Canapé didn't work. I had it for less than a week and it is trash now. So disappointed! Bought in January but didnt use until vacation in July.

Great Highboy Canopy beach chair
This is a very well made beach chair. It sits higher off the ground and the canopy provides lots of shade from the south Florida sun. It is lightweight and easy to carry.

Canapy shade part of the chair is flimsy
The shade portion of the chair broke after day 2. Not worth the price, chair is not sturdy and very noisey. Was a gift for Fathers Day and am so disappointed becase I loved the high design and shade capability. Don't purchase this one, not worth it. The strap to carry the chaiir seems to be in the wrong place, it's ackward to carry. Just so disappointed, only bought it a couple of weeks ago.

Good chair in theory, bad in practice.
Sorry, but this chair is not up to Tommy B standards. Heavy, cumbersome, carry strap in an inconvenient place. The canopy flops clumsily and the clip strap is paced in a way that doesn't secure it properly. Directions are vague. and when you get to the beach, a wrestling match ensues opening the chair , the canopy is even worse. The chair sits high so the only good thing about it is that it is easy to get up, if that is a difficulty. But anyone with that issue could never manage the struggle to open it anyway. Would not recommend.

Nice chair, but...
I like this chair very much. It is a true "highboy", making it much easier to sit and stand. It is a big chair, which is good, except that the size also makes it heavy and cumbersome to carry back and forth at the beach. I like the idea of the personal canopy, but one side does not slide smoothly, which makes setting up the canopy a very difficult job. One side slides right into place and the other one doesn't budge without almost forcing it with a tool. The fabric is comfortable and the colors are beautiful, so it gets a 4. I'm hoping that I can figure out the defect in the canopy mount so I am able to use it.

Quality disappointment
Love these chairs but on 3rd use, one of the plastic supports for shade on one of the chairs snapped making it useless. Really disappointed since these are not cheap! My other Tommy Bahama chairs all still look brand new after 3 years! Getting only 3 days is a problem for me

Very disappointed
Very disappointed with the quality of this beach chair. Seemed very flimsy when sitting in it, the metal was not sturdy at all. It was nothing like the one I purchased five years ago. Purchased many happy items from TB over the years, but we had to return this one unfortunately.
