Great Quality and Style
These are good quality. Metal frames and glass lenses was what I was looking for. I also like the green lens color. They fit well and they look great! I do usually prefer my sun glasses to wrap around my face more, but these are close and the light and reflections are minimal. I have had glasses where the side glare obscures the view, but these allow me to see fine. Great glasses, please don't sell out to Luxottica and their evil twin, I might need another good quality pair.

Very nice sun glasses, good fit for a larger face. Blue Hawaiian lens are more transparent than Neutral Grey, so they are better for not very bright sun, more like an average day. The only issue so far is that Brush Gunmetal frame has a green attachment which covers half of the frame and it’s not that visible on the website picture, but changes the look of the frame. Maybe someone will find it good looking... Over all it’s a good quality product.

I have owned MJ’s since there were only 6 models. By far the best glasses I have ever owned, my new Shoal are no exception. Being independent from Luxotica and originating on the beaches of my home in Lahaina along with outstanding quality keeps me loyal. Thank you for a great pair of sun glasses.

Great sunglasses
Quality frame. Quality lens. The lava interesting changes as you look up to down. The blue lens is very consistent as well with nice optical clarity too. I have both pairs and they are worth it.

Great in bright sunlight, harder to see where there are shadows
I like the color of the lenses and the fit of the frame. The glasses are rigid and feel much more durable than the MJ sunglasses I have with plastic frames. The green lenses look more translucent in the pictures. But they do not let as much light pass through as I expected. Another change is that these glasses shipped with a much lower quality case than those I previously purchased.

Keep them coming MJ
I've only had them a short time, but so far I love my Shoals. I've been a dedicated MJ customer for at least a decade and my experience so far has been that there isn't anyone out there that can match the MJ product line. The lenses are crystal clear and the glasses are so light you almost forget you have them on. I do wish that they had the flex hinge, since mine is a larger sized head the flex hinge allows me to wear the glasses without worrying that I'm putting too much strain on the hinges. We'll have to see how these fare over time. I typically keep this pair in my car as the "primary" pair of glasses, while I keep some of the older ones in the house for working around the house. I'm getting ready to take my first "road trip" with these glasses, so it'll be interesting to see how the comfort level goes when I'm wearing them essentially from sunrise to sunset. Hopefully I don't experience any of the issues that some of the reviewers have had.

My Maui Shoal Gunmetal Black with HCL Bronze Reader Lenses.
I have been a Maui Jim customer since the early 1990's and have never been disappointed. I have been with them as they constantly improved upon an already awesome product continuing to out perform. This most recent purchase lived up to my already high expectations. Having been a customer for so many years, I am thrilled to have sunglasses with readers for aging eyes. We can't fight the sands of time forever. And of course, an exceptional product backed up by exceptional customer service from Maui Jim, means you'll never regret being a customer. I just hope as more years pass, they figure out how to make the nearly invisible bifocal strong enough to meet my needs down the road, should I ever pass 2.5 magnification, but let's hope I don't.

Bring on the Sunshine, I’m ready!
It’s hard to go wrong with Maui Jim. The clarity on these is unbelievable. A bit heavier because they are glass, but not so much as to be uncomfortable. My eyes are super sensitive to bright light and these completely eliminate the Issue without sacrificing the view. I actually look forward to wearing the Shoal every morning for my drive into work, which is facing the sunrise on the way in and facing the sunset on my way out.

Great new color!!!
Great Pair of Sunglasses, love the new Maui Jim Green . I really like them, the temple is a little long on me but still fits great. This was my second pair since my first pair is on the bottom of Lake Washington... Croakies are your friend.

Deceiving Description!!!!
I bought this lenses because Maui states that is scratch resistance and very light weight. This is far from the truth. I take excellent care of the glasses and already has some scratches that I don't know from where the heck they came from. Moreover, they are heavy thus leaving dimples by the two sides of the nose.

This is the first pair of Maui Jim's (out of 16 pair) where I was not satisfied with the product. Everything was fine until I noticed that the rubber protecting the arms that fit over the ears is green. I expected that the entire construction would be gunmetal.

Poor quality and Maui Jim warranty disappoints
After years of success with brands like Oakley and Revo I tried Maui Jim’s. Bought the Shoal as I liked the look. Wore them twice and the lens cracked. It was a stress crack, never dropped them, they just cracked. Maui Jim said they stand behind their products after I pay to send them back, pay a warranty servicing fee and pay to have them returned. Now that’s customer service after paying $350 for sunglasses.

Golf glasses
I purchased the shoals with the htgreen lense for golfing. They are very light weight and very comfortable!! I think I will continue to purchase Maui Jim’s for the foreseeable future. 10/10 would buy again!

Excellent fit and style
I bought these today and love them. Depending on the light, they can look vivid green or dark. I had a hard time finding these in the display case in the store because they didn’t look green at all. Outside they perform beautifully. Definitely has a pinkish hue to them I didn’t expect but love the clarity. These are way nicer and better looking than the pictures.
