Rated 5 out of 5 by JP in CO from Great shoes for barefoot activities This is my second pair of these Nohea mesh shoes, both in light brown, and I was very happy to see they're still being made. My first pair of these were bought in Hawaii in 2013 and have traveled with me to some of the finest beaches in the world since then. In-between traveling they get used when I take out my lake kayak and they've also been my go-to shoe for swim workouts several times each week. They have gotten wet in salt and fresh water many times but after nine years they were showing their wear. This newer pair has a much more comfortable insole and I'm really glad they kept the wider toe-space in this model. For other's benefit, I feel the size is accurate enough. I typically wear a 10 1/2 EE shoe with thin socks, or 11 EE for hiking boots with thick socks. The 10 1/2 shoe I bought is about the same fit albeit barefoot. They are a great choice for those of us with wide feet. The attached image shows what to expect with 9 years of regular use.

When I tried them on my toe was in a good spot but there was a gap of about half to three-quarter inch from my ankle and heal to the back of the shoe. I’ll try to reorder another half size and see if that fits since I really liked the style and color. If not I’ll return the second pair and buy elsewhere.

The 10.5 size was very loose in length and width. If not for the tag on the shoe I would have guessed they were 11's.
