Best sunglasses ever!
Best sunglasses ever! I love the clarity and color quality--truly like looking at the world through "rose-tinted lenses." I sadly accidentally sat on my last pair and broke them, but it was a no-brainer to order another set.

I have 3 pairs just in case I misplace one. The optics and eye protection are superb. Once you try any style of Maui Jim’s you will never turn back. I brought my first pair in the late 80’s and have been hooked ever since!

Costa's No More!!!!!
Excellent sunglasses and excellent customer service. Love my glasses. I used to be a Costa fan but due to Maui Jim's outstanding service and sunglass quality, I will never buy Costa again.

On the nose with Local Kine
Owner them for 2 years and are awesome for blue water scuba trips. Owned several pair over the years but these are the best for me. Only one issue is that I have to send them in for a nose piece twice now. maybe time for a lenses.

Great sunglasses
Many good things to say about these sunglasses. The lense, the weight, the coverage. Once in place they don't move. I always forget I have them on because they are so comfortable. Great to wear on bright sunny days and on cloudy days. Highly recommended.
The only thing I dislike is the maroon color on the inside. It's such an ugly color. Would have been much nicer to go all black or with a grey. The maroon color is ugly and looks dated.
Been wearing MJ for many years and always happy with the product.

I miss the old quality frames!!!
I like the glasses, but I am disappointed with the quality. I do not like the change in the materials used on the frames. I understand it makes them lighter, but it also makes them feel cheap.

Not built like the older glasses
I do not like these glasses. The older ones I had were heavier and well built. These are a light plastic. The sides are not as wide as my older ones and do not provide as much wind protection. The lenses are not as dark as my older ones and therefore do not provide the light protection that I wanted. If I had been able to actually hold them and try them on, I would not have purchased them, even at the reduced price. I’m very disappointed.

No More Costas For Me...
I've been wearing Costa "Saltbreak" sunglasses for several years and I didn't think anybody made better fitting and looking glasses. Luxottica bought Costa del Mar some time ago and the customer service has become a challenge to navigate. I live in North Florida and Costa was in Daytona. Years ago I sent a pair of Costas to them for new lenses and the process was very simple. Recently I bought a new pair of Costas and they arrived with loose temples and the screws stripped. I called them up to find out how to resolve the issue and the process was so convoluted that I told them to just issue a refund. I got the refund and went shopping for new shades. I ended up buying a pair of Maui Jim's "Local Kine" and I really like them...especially the green mirrors. A couple months later I ordered another pair of "Local Kines" with the khaki frames and neutral grey lenses. I'm converted...no more Costas for me. Finally, the Maui Jim's also seem to have much better contrast than the Costas with similar colored lenses.

Happy with my purchase
I love the Sunglasses. The lenses are crystal clear and the frames are exactly what I was looking for in terms of eliminating as much sun as possible from entering through the sides. The only complaint/disappointment I have is the nose contact area are not the most comfortable and they tend to slide down my nose when active. I primarily use them for ocean fishing and I found that when I'm fighting a fish, I had to often reach up with one hand to push the frames back into position. Luckily I was only catching striped bass, but when I head out for Tuna next year, this might be a problem. I'm going to have to find a solution to this, maybe adhesive nose pads that can be placed on that area of the frames. Overall, very happy with the performance aspect of the glasses.

These are by far my favorite Maui Jims so far. 5th pair I own. Light weight, wrap style for wearing on the boat all day. Small enough for a petite lady angler. And I love the new Maui Green lenses. These look so good on. Can't wait to wear them in a pic with my next catch haha

i still have my prior pair of Bronze lens Maui Jim. Love them. they had a glass lens not poly and for some reason they are truer to life color. and slightly darker. the new pair of HCL bronze I am told is not a glass lens (and does have prescription) .... and they are brighter (less dark) and definately have a yellow tint my prior Bronze lens does not have. i definately preferr my prior Bronze glass lens but am told all prescription lens are in the hybrid not glass. other than that they are excellent thanks very much Robin. ps My daughter asked me for a pair of Maui Jim Starfish frame sunlasses. I'll have to figure out how to get her a pair . my best to you Robin

I love the Local Kines but I don't know how to properly fit them in the trifold case
I love my new Local Kines. The only question is how do I properly set then in the new trifold case that Maui Jim has now? I want to store them every now and then but I want to put them in the case without breaking them some how. Does anyone know how to properly set them in the trifold case?

Made the switch
Love my new Maui Jim men's Local Kine with blue mirror lens. I have worn Costa Tuna Alleys for years, however these have become my new choice for offshore and driving. Light weight and feel great on. Very please with my decision to switch to Maui Jim sunglasses after wearing Costa's for 15 years.
