I'm 5'1", 125 pounds with an athletic build and sometimes that makes it difficult to find comfortable shorts. (Round booty, muscular legs, and smaller waist) I still have some abdominal distention from long term health issues so size 6 fit me best, leaving a little room to tuck in a tee or sweater material. The shorts are long enough so the "cheeks" don't peak out, but short enough to elongate my legs. I had on neutral espadrilles which were perfect with the shorts. Some chunky sneakers would look great as well. The Ella Field shorts are a good thickness so that your panties don't show through. Because of the fabric thickness I think they will hold up for a long time as well! A very versatile short that you can dress up, or stay casual. I look forward to wearing these for a date !
