Shirt sizes are getting smaller
Love the shirt but the size of the shirt is getting smaller. I wear dbl xx and when I bought them in previous the size was larger.

Good but delicate shirt
Great shirt. Arms are baggy but nothing a good tailor can’t handle. Problem is Color (Black) fades after wash and any droplet of liquid causes a stain that will not come out. Also, cannot iron without material becoming shiny.

One of my favorite shirts! Make sure to only dry clean to keep it soft. Also, Order one size down. I’m 6’1” with an athletic build and the medium was a perfect fit.

nice looking shirt but poor quality
42 chest, 34 waist, usually buy L shirts like this but sized down to M. Glad I did, M fits perfect. Looked great in the mirror, fabric was soft but heavier weight than I anticipated, which I consider a plus.
However, the decorative stitching across the back was poorly done on the one I received. Instead of being tight all the way across, there was one stitch right about halfway across that was so loose you could probably fit a typicslly sized chopstick through.
This would be unacceptable on a shirt that cost $28, nevermind $128. Back in the bag with the return shipping label it goes. I waited a while for these to be restocked, and now they're out of mediums again, so this, my first Tommy Bahama purchase, was a pretty disappointing experience. I checked out as a guest, and I'm hoping my experience getting a refund goes better than my experience getting an acceptable quality shirt went.

A Hopefully Help Review of One of My Favorites
First I'll start with a basic overview of the shirt itself and my thoughts, then a little note on how it did with it's first cleaning. ( For those who may be new to silk, like me)
I'd like to say I was original enough to have found this shirt without help, but like so many others I fell in love with this shirt upon seeing the first behind the scenes photos of Daniel Craig wearing this for his final outing as James Bond. It is, in my opinion, the very definition of men's fashion. Sharp, subtle, and practical. The silk is soft, but also not without some durability, which makes it a great step into the delicate silk world, and the stitching throughout adds unique character. I would also commend it for not having too flashy of a logo. Though I love the Tommy Bahama marlin, I think it's nice that there's nothing on the chest, but rather a small marlin tag at the bottom, which in my opinion inches it to a higher quality look.
For those of you who are curious as to how well it cleans, I can say that while it is still silk and will require much stricter washing rules, it isn't quite as touchy as other pieces I've owned. I used a small amount of delicate Woolite in my washer on Hand Wash, with of course cold water. I let it hang dry overnight and pulled it out gently to make sure it was hanging naturally. It was, to no surprise, a little stiff the next morning which is why next time I may try a small amount of distilled vinegar to remove any excess soap from the washer. Otherwise, it washed well, and within minutes of wearing it the shirt felt comfortable again.
I highly recommend this shirt. It runs slightly large, however, it's supposed to be a loose fit, and I highly encourage that you embrace that idea because once you're wearing the shirt it really is comfortable, and very breathable. I usually wear a small and the small fits me perfectly.

Love the casual dress look
I have bought 4 of these in different colors for casual dress. One of these was cut a little larder and I took it to the tailor to take it in…the tailor messed it up…but I like them some much, I bought another one to replace it

If you’re fit, order one size down. It’s a very nice shirt and I get compliments when I wear it. Just order a size down. Also I haven’t figured out how to wash silk yet. I wash it on cold, then I air dry setting for a bit and then tumble dry on low heat because it shrinks. But somehow my shirt comes out very stiff. No idea how to avoid that because it’s so beautiful and naturally soft out of the box

Really nice vintage drape
I cannot be happier with my purchase. This is a great shirt that definitely deserves a place in a well dressed man's capsule wardrobe. I particularly like the wider sleeves in the biceps area, and the fact that while the entire shirt is roomy, it is not boxy. Some say it runs large, but if you like classical menswear as opposed to current fashion, you'd probably disagree. It's perfect. I have one in black and one in coconut, and can't wait for the black one to be available again in my size.
