The Marlin Takes Manhattan
An Island State of Mind
At the corner of 45th & Fifth, on one of the busiest shopping avenues in the world, a refuge awaits. Our NYC location is 12,000 square feet of pure getaway—our Manhattan Island. One of the 16 Tommy Bahama locations that feature a restaurant, bar, and store under one roof, it’s an oasis where open interior spaces and a calming atmosphere create a sense of complete escape.
Step through the doors of the historic
Fred F. French Building and you’re
greeted by timeless features: a graceful
spiral staircase, beautiful ipe wood floors,
and shutters made with wood salvaged
from the original Coney Island boardwalk.
Drum-dyed cowhide banquettes and
pillows made from reclaimed grain sacks
add warm touches. And palm trees flank a
lush, original mural by artist Julia Goldman.
Thirsty? The Marlin Bar is a prime spot to enjoy the city’s best sips. Barrel-aged rums and cocktails are nestled in a wall evocative of palm tree bark. If you’re hungry, the food menu highlights Hudson Valley produce and fresh Northeastern seafood along with enduring guest favorites. It’s how we add a bit of ease to that famous New York state of mind.
