New & Improved!
This is my 3rd pair of Sandbar Ripstop shorts—and these are the best! They are an inch longer than the others and have a touch of stretch, which makes them perfect for dining out (wife’s comment when I tried them on). And they are the same lightweight material that makes them comfortable to wear on hot days as well!

Great fitting shorts. I bought four pair. However, the size runs large. I normally wear size 36 waist, but went with 34. I could have easily fit into a 33. I would definitely recommend these shorts.

Perfect cargo shorts
I'd been in search of a fairly lightweight cargo short that would be great for the trail but also could be dressed up for evenings with a camp shirt. I couldn't be more pleased with these shorts. I'm on the slim side and in between a 32-33. I bought the 32 and they fit perfectly. I also love the fact that they are not too baggy. I bought these in 2 colors and may buy more!

Great shorts!
The right length, great texture and side pockets. But one color won’t do. So I had to get all of them. And of course a couple of different Tommy Bahama belts. But since I live in California I can wear them year round (when we’re not dodging the forest fires).

Fantastic shorts

Fit, style, and comfort; a triple play!
I love my Sandbar Ripstop shorts. My wife gave them to me for a gift. The comfort and fit is what I have come to expect from Tommy Bahama. They are stylishly at place in all casual settings and the ribbing attracts favorable curious comments from friends and strangers alike. A young woman approached me in an airport lounge and inquired where she might get a pair for her guy. Wow, I wished I was single again ... er well, almost.

The Short Pump store did not have my size but was quick to order them to be shipped to my home. I love the fabric of the shorts and will be purchasing more. The service at the store is excellent.

Lengths vary by color
Ordered these in the "sail fish" color and really like them. So then ordered a pair in the "french clay" color but they were too long! I compared the inseams of both pairs of shorts and the "french clay" color was closer to 11-inch, not 10-inch as described. So I returned them....too bad since I really like the "sail fish" pair and they are 10-inch as described.

This is my 4th pair I'm usually a size 36 but I wear a size 35 in these shorts since they run a little big. I now am a proud owner of all the Tommy shorts in this style.

color not well represented on-line
The shorts looked nice. I never tried them on. I was looking for a tan or beige short. The description of "dark sand" seemed reasonable, and the color shown on-line is tan or beige. In actuality is has a significant green cast. Not what I wanted.

Great shorts
I normally don't buy T.B. shorts but i thought would give them a try. Very happy! They fit well and go with a lot of my T.B. shirts. Another product well made. Would recommend for sure.

Great look and feel.
I have 6 pairs of these shorts. The look is wonderful and the fit is great, along with the softness that they have while wearing. The only recommendation that I could provide to Tommy Bahama's is to add more colors to the selection; having 3 - 4 more colors to choose from would round out these shorts.

Nice fit and nice material
Fit is great and true to size. I wish there we’re odd sizes as it is just a bit too big, but I expected that. Material is nicer than expected. I expected a thinner material based on pictures. The colour is nice and not too light so it hides spots from kids dirty hands or spills. The only drawback I have found is I would prefer snap close buttons on the cargo pockets. This is a similar complaint for the elastic waist shorts I bought as well where they changed the snap button to Velcro. Please go back to snaps. Otherwise it’s another great Tommy shorts.

The perfect shorts!
Got these for my husband for his birthday and he loves them! They are a wonderful fabric, that washes well, and the length is not too long, not too short! These look nice dressed down with a casual tee, or dressed up a bit with a short sleeve button down. He loved them so much he got two other colors!

Very comfortable
Very light short. Great to pack and great for summer bbqs! The stretch is subtle and perfect so that it gives but does not give so much so that the shorts loosen up and go sloppy after a few hours wear. They hold their shape nice! They do tighten up in the dryer a bit much however they loosen back to perfect comfort quickly!
