THINGS WE LOVE IN LAGUNA BEACH:
Actually only about 230 steep steps, this stairway to the beach is easy to miss. To find it, look for a small sign directly across from the corner of 9th Avenue and PCH, just two blocks south of South Coast Medical Center. From there, head down the steps to the beach. Once at the bottom, you'll find a secluded cove with smaller waves in the center but some spectacular crashes along the sharp rocks.
STAND UP PADDLEBOARDING (SUP)
The key to SUP's popularity: it's fun and easy to learn! Paddling along the shores of Laguna Beach is also quite beautiful and will give you a rare perspective of the coast and cliffs (not to mention views of some pretty spectacular homes).
FIRST THURSDAYS ART WALK
The art season in Laguna Beach flourishes year round with First Thursdays Art Walk. This educational monthly art event, held on the first Thursday of every month from 6-9pm, celebrates the diverse cultural art scene of Laguna Beach and is free to the public. Stop in for dinner first or drinks and desserts after.
LAGUNA BEACH CERTIFIED FARMERS' MARKET
Held each Saturday from 8am to noon in the Lumberyard Parking Lot on Forest Avenue, the market is home to some of the freshest products in town. Over 30 vendors gather to sell flowers, produce, jams, cheeses, and breads.
